Team Services
You've probably said one of these or heard your team say it...
- The team can't take ownership of outcomes.
- We're behind on strategy implementation.
- We're pulled in five directions by different stakeholders.
- Internal politics keep us in a holding pattern.
- We can't get cross-functional collaboration to move the needle.
Every one of these sounds like a performance problem. Underneath, it's usually the same thing:
the team hasn't developed the relational capacity the moment requires.
More planning won't fix it. Another all-hands won't fix it. The pattern has to be seen before it can change — and it has to change in the room where the real work happens, not on an offsite stage.
Ways of Working Together
The Team Pattern Assessment
The first step, and an easy one to take. A scoped assessment of your team's patterns — what's working, what's not, and where to start.
Facilitation
A day's walk together. Some times a workshop or a retreat can be a valuable inflection point for recognizing and beginning the right work.
Sessions are designed around what your team actually needs to move through, not a generic agenda.
The long walk, and where the real change happens. Embedded coaching over 6 or 12 months that turns insight into a new way of working.
Learning Architecture & Capability Design
For teams we've already walked with. Once we know your system, we can help you build the learning ecosystem it needs to keep growing - from curriculum design, to program implementation.
Team Pattern Assessment
Three depths
Way-finding starts with knowing where you actually are. The Team Pattern Assessment tells you, in plain language, what patterns are shaping your team's results — and gives you a place to start.
1. Team Survey
Your team's own view, gathered through the High Value Creating Team Questionnaire, a validated tool for benchmarking team capability. $2,500
2. Survey + Interviews
The stories behind the scores. We add structured interviews with team members to bring texture to the pattern.
Scoped based on team size — let's talk!
3. Full-system Read
How your key stakeholders experience the team, not just how the team experiences itself. Includes a stakeholder-mapping session with the team leader to identify priority relationships before we survey.
Scoped based on team size — ask us
What you get, at every depth:
A written read of your team's patterns in plain language — what they're costing you, and what working on them could look like. Every tier ends in the same kind of document. Deeper tiers make the picture richer, not the report longer.
If you continue:
What you pay for a Team Pattern Assessment carries forward as credit toward a Team Coaching Engagement signed within 90 days. Nothing you've already walked is wasted.
Facilitation
Bespoke interventions
Some scenarios need a day, not a year. I design and lead workshops and retreats to meet your team in its actual pattern — not a stock agenda. Whether you need a strategy session that begins with real alignment, a team charter for a new commission, or a retreat that can produce more muscle than a good memory, this can be a great way to set your team up for success.
If co-facilitation is needed (and more often than not, it is the best practice) we can source it or work with leaders from your own organization.

Design Thinking instruction:
I am a LUMA certified Design Thinking Instructor and can teach your team how to do human-centered collaborative problem solving with a highly practical and flexible approach. This is an invaluable capability for any team that is meant to serve other humans.
Lifelong learner of group dynamics and collective power:
I'm a sincere nerd for getting the group to meet their moment.
In my prior years of UX and service design consulting (Accenture-Microsoft universe), I would often introduce myself to clients as a retired camp counselor. This was my funny way of claiming some authority for the delivery team and to explain the provenance of my genuine enthusiasm for collective success and having everyone feel connected to it. With that reputation, I was one of the most sought after facilitators for internal and client workshops across the global firm.
It's also true, by the way, I did spend 10+ summers of my youth leading retreats for groups of kids and teens, respectively. In that time, I also earned my bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a focus on rhetoric in social movements- my main curiosity being "How does anyone convince anyone else to do anything?'
Throughout my professional career, I've sought every tool and teacher that offered a way to develop the collective intelligence of a group. This passion has brought me into classrooms with IDEO, the LUMA Institute, and Renewal Associates, in collaboration with masters of the craft like Rob Evans and Linda Hansen, and in community with other stunningly compassionate and strategic nerds like The Association of Value Webs™ and Priya Parker's Group Life™.
It's a lifestyle, baby!
This is the work!
Embedded coaching that meets your team inside the work you're already doing, not alongside it — over a 6-month or 12-month arc.
The arc:
We start by scoping the engagement together and getting clear on what we're working toward. Then we listen — to your team and to the people around it (hello, stakeholder ecosystem!) — to understand where you actually are.
From what we find, your team co-creates its own development agenda; you're not handed a plan, you build one. With that in hand, the coaching happens live, inside your real meetings and real decisions. And throughout, we build in review — not just to check progress, but to model the discipline of reflection and learning that your team is building for itself.
Two sizes:
6 months —
for teams ready to shift specific patterns or ways of working and see it hold.
12 months
—
for teams taking on a bigger transformation, where the change needs to reach beyond the team itself.
Fee note:
Scoped in conversation, based on team size and engagement length.
Co-coaching note:
Engagements are held by a pair of trained co-coaches. Two professionals holding your team at once — listening twice as well, tracking dynamics in real time. Working as a pair allows us to observe more of the team system at once than either one could alone. While one of us is engaged with the group, the other can track dynamics, power, and unspoken patterns happening around it. It also means the team witnesses a live working relationship between equals, modeling the kind of collaboration we're coaching them toward.
Learning Architecture & Capability Design
Custom strategy for durable learning
Learning architecture isn't picking training programs off a shelf. It's designing the conditions where people actually grow. For teams we've coached, this is often the natural next question: now that we know how the system works, what capability must we build into it? From AI fluency to onboarding to culture programs, we build curricula that make development stick past the e-learning, past the workshop.
